Myths from Ignorance
Myth: Whichever major party is in charge is responsible for America's social and financial problems. Electing the other major party will make things better.
Truth: The Democratic and Republican parties have taken turns controlling Congress for over 100 years. Each party has had multiple opportunities to resolve America's social problems and balance the budget. Both parties are responsible for the massive yearly deficits and enormous national debt. History has demonstrated neither party has the political will or the knowhow to turn America from the cliff.
Myth: The President is responsible for the budget and the debt.
Truth: As prescribed by the U.S. Constitution, Congress is responsible for the budget and the debt.
